Get ready for an unforgettable day of empowerment, music, and art as Galpalooza returns for its fourth edition on Sunday, August 9, 2026. This unique one-day festival will take over 9 venues across South Africa, shining a spotlight on female-fronted live performances, art exhibitions, and fun activities – all curated and run by women to honour National Women’s Day.

Galpalooza is more than just an event – it’s a community-driven movement dedicated to highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of women in the South African music and creative scenes. With a focus on fair and equal compensation for artists, the festival uses funds from sponsorships, pop-up parties, activations, and ticket sales to ensure everyone involved is supported.

Open to all ages and backgrounds, the event promises inclusive experiences where families (and even pets at select venues) are welcome, though some locations may have age restrictions after certain hours.

What’s It All About

Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of activities across the country, including:

  • Female-Fronted Live Performances: Featuring 3 to 11 acts per venue, showcasing talented women in music.
