10 Million holidays and counting for The Holiday Club

Kiara Lodge The Holiday Club

10 million guests sent on holiday! The Holiday Club celebrates an achievement that speaks for itself. This milestone carries the story of South African family holidays, culminating in over 30 years of traditions, memories and legacies.

And fittingly, the honour went to the Purchase family, long-standing members who chose Kiara Lodge in the Drakensberg for yet another gathering that blends travel with family roots.

Resort staff set the stage and led the celebrations as the Purchase family found out exactly what The Holiday Club had gifted them. The Purchases received a full return of their Holiday Club Points, a personalised hamper and a private braai table experience hosted by resort staff – a small but meaningful gesture that captures the essence of what The Holiday Club stands for, holidays that feel personal, family-focused and unforgettable.

Reshaping the travel landscape

Since its founding in 1993, The Holiday Club has been reshaping the travel landscape, moving beyond traditional timeshare into a flexible, points-based model that now serves over 40,000 members. With access to more than 130 resorts across Southern Africa – and 3 200 more globally through exchange partners – The Holiday Club makes leisure travel both accessible and aspirational. Milestones along the way, from celebrating 7 million guests in 2015 to introducing high-end, luxury offerings with their Private Residences and landmark digital platforms, they have continuously reinforced their role as pioneers in the sector.

Having their 10 millionth guest feels different, not on scale, but on impact. These 10 million guests are real families who can holiday more often, in turn allowing communities to experience the upliftment of tourism and the quiet confidence of a brand that is continuously working to evolve and give their members exactly what they were promised

Beekman Group

Reflecting on the achievement, John Beekman, CEO of the Beekman Group, says, “When my brother Bram and I first envisioned The Holiday Club, our dream was simple – to give families the gift of time together. Reaching our 10 millionth guest proves that families across South Africa are embracing the freedom to create memories through travel. This milestone belongs as much to our members as it does to us.”

Looking forward, The Holiday Club is building on this momentum with enhanced digital services, expanded resort experiences and a stronger focus on sustainability. Yet the heart of the story remains the same, a commitment to making family holidays not just possible, but extraordinary. Welcoming 10 million guests is proof of that promise and only the beginning of their next chapter.
