If you’ve spotted a bright pink, flower-covered car making its way through Cape Town, you’re not imagining things. In fact, there are 15 of them!
The Scoin Shop has taken its Cape Floral Kingdom campaign onto the streets, transforming a fleet of rideshare vehicles into moving celebrations of one of South Africa’s most extraordinary natural treasures.
From the V&A Waterfront and Atlantic Seaboard to the City Bowl, Century City and Southern Suburbs, the eye-catching cars are bringing a splash of colour to everyday journeys.
And there’s a rather lovely story behind all that pink.

A little flower power, a lot of heritage
The cars are celebrating the launch of the 2026 UNESCO World Heritage Series: Table Mountain & the Cape Floral Region, a collection of gold and silver collectable coins created by France’s historic Monnaie de Paris.
Inspired by the extraordinary biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the collection captures the beauty of Table Mountain, fynbos and South Africa’s iconic proteas in precious metal.
But while the coins themselves are exclusive collectables, the colourful message travelling through Cape Town is something everyone can enjoy.
“Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, so standing out takes a little imagination,” says Rael Demby, CEO of The South African Gold Coin Exchange and The Scoin Shop.
“We wanted to do something playful, colourful and completely unexpected. The Cape Floral Kingdom is a remarkable part of our natural heritage, and these cars allow us to celebrate it in a way that everyone can enjoy. You don’t need to be a coin collector to appreciate a bright pink car covered in flowers!”
Bringing the Cape Floral Kingdom to the streets
The campaign was rolled out in partnership with Johannesburg-based Eazy Ads, a company specialising in advertising on rideshare vehicles.
Unlike a traditional billboard, the cars travel through the city, becoming part of Cape Town’s everyday scenery. Their vibrant pink floral designs offer a playful contrast to the urban landscape, while celebrating the natural beauty for which the region is famous.
“What I love about this campaign is how the striking creative transforms everyday movement into something that becomes part of Cape Town’s visual landscape,” says Ruan Cillié, Founder of Eazy Ads.
“With Table Mountain as its backdrop and the extraordinary natural heritage of the Cape Floral Kingdom at the heart of the story, it’s the kind of campaign that catches your eye, makes you curious and has the potential to spark conversations.”

They’re a cheerful reminder that the Cape Floral Kingdom isn’t just something to admire in nature. It’s a remarkable part of our heritage, worthy of celebrating, protecting and collecting.
Because some beautiful things deserve to be noticed, others deserve to be treasured.
