La Paris Estate in Franschhoek hosts the inaugural Bliss Family Festival

26 October 2026 · 0 comments

The inaugural Bliss Family Festival, supported by Standard Bank Private, is ready to welcome families to La Paris Estate in Franschhoek on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The event is aimed at parents who love a proper festival day and want to share the experience with their children – there’ll be plenty for every age to enjoy.

“Bliss was created to bring together the best parts of a summer festival – music, food, atmosphere, connection and a beautiful outdoor setting – in a way that families can enjoy together in one easy day,” says Russell Scott, Managing Director of Rusco Experiential.

Gates open at 11:00, giving families time to settle in for lunch, claim a picnic-style space and collect a complimentary welcome drink for adults.

Tastings from local wine farms

The Bliss Market brings together a selection of food vendors, including bao from How Bao Now, wagyu from Zuney Wagyu, wood-fired pizza from EarthFire Pizza, paella from Gusto Paella and gelato from Gelato Mania, alongside Wicked Waffle, Urban Eatery and more. Tastings from local wine farms add to the offering, while pop-up stalls invite browsing for pre-loved finds, resort wear and jewellery between sets.

Through the afternoon, there’s plenty to keep different ages entertained. Younger children can try Draw Your Bliss, origami and the Creative Play Lab, with lawn games, including giant Jenga, for everyone. Teens have their own experiences, including a silent disco, karaoke and creative expression.

On stage, the lineup includes Jeremy Loops, Arno Carstens, RAAF, Wren Hinds Band, Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace, The Starlight Band, Saxby Twins and DJ Ricky H with Jamie Faull on sax, with Liezel van der Westhuizen as MC. As golden hour arrives, the day carries on into an evening of music and dancing, with the festival wrapping up at 22:00.

“The food experience is a big part of what makes Bliss different,” says Scott. “This is not about grabbing a quick festival meal; it is about creating a full-day journey where every element, from what you hear to what you taste, helps people feel present and connected.”

Festival tickets include live music and entertainment, creative activities for children and teens, parking and a complimentary welcome drink for adults. With entertainment for different ages included in the ticket, families can make the most of a full day together.

Bridgette Kruger, Head of Private Banking South Africa, says the partnership reflects Standard Bank Private’s Live Wealthier philosophy, which sees true wealth as including meaningful experiences, time and connection.
