The chocolates are inspired by the flavours of the season, so every visit is bound to deliver a fresh experience.

Perfect picnics

From Thursday to Sunday, book a picnic basket of delicious eats and head to The Werf. Here, in the dappled sunlight, you can spread out and enjoy your lunch on a blanket with live music as entertainment on weekends. Inside your picnic basket you’ll find freshly baked bread, green salads harvested from the Werf Food Garden, free-range charcuterie from the Boschendal Butchery, homemade preserves and, of course, dessert. Vegetarian options and kids baskets are also available.

Explore your way

Whether on horseback, a mountain bike or by foot, there are so many ways to breathe in the beauty and tranquility of the trails on the farm. For the young ones there is no shortage of activities, from the pump track to the Tree House clamber frames. Boschendal also offers the popular Kids’ Outdoor Experience Programme, an immersive, nature-focused experience that includes activities such as shelter building, learning about animal care and creative arts and crafts.

The historic Manor House doors have been opened to welcome an exciting and meaningful partnership with the Norval Foundation. This new satellite gallery features the best of South African and African art with rotating exhibitions from a wide range of contemporary artists. Entry is free and curators are ready to guide guests through the exhibitions.
