Banhoek Chilli Oil has opened its new Taste Kitchen in the heart of the Banhoek Valley, and everyone’s welcome for breakfast, lunch or an oil tasting while stocking up on your favourite chili oil.

From breakfast classics with a little added Banhoek Chilli Oil touch to light lunches that include seafood tapas, wholesome salads and their crowd- pleaser pizza and pasta dishes, guests can expect a relaxed, welcoming environment. Visitors can enjoy their meal in either the indoor and outdoor dining areas, in a family-friendly setting that’s complete with children’s play area. There’s also direct access to the famed mountain bike trails of the Banhoek Conservancy area.

Heating up the Banhoek Valley

Tutored chili oil tastings are a great way to learn more about the product with the ‘perfect bite of flavour’ and you can take a tour of the production space on the experience walkway.

Founders, Ken Kinsey-Quick and Adi Meintjes initially set out to create their own premium oil; testing and trialling dozens of variations of chillies, oils and production methods until they got it just right. Today, they’ve won the coveted ‘Great Taste Award’ by the Guild of Fine Food, the world’s largest and most trusted food accreditation body, and what better way to showcase their fine chili oil than through an incredible production facility and Taste Kitchen space, complete with sample dishes that complement Banhoek Chilli Oil.

Banhoek Chilli Oil is handmade in small batches using the finest non-GMO, Overberg-farmed canola oil and Thai chillies. The result is a perfect balance between heat and flavour that enhances your dishes without overpowering them.

The Banhoek Chilli Oil Taste Kitchen is open Monday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm on weekdays and 9am to 9pm on weekends. Banhoek Conservancy trail permits also available on-site.
