Slip into Slippers

Slipper Day returns on 5 May! Purchase a supporter sticker for R20 and you too can head to the office in your fuzziest slippers, all to help children who are battling life-threatening illnesses. All proceeds raised from the day go to Reach For A Dream to help children fight a serious disease by making their dreams –such as swimming with dolphins, meeting an idol or celebrity or getting a new doll house –come true.

Cocktail Connoisseurs

StrageLove Coctkail Lounge recently launched in Salt River, and is quickly gaining a following thanks to its unique menu of clever cocktails, mini-food pairings and its use of small-batch hand-distilled liquors. The lounge is in what was Hope Distillery’s mezzanine-level tasting room, giving guests a bird’s eye view over the distillery and its vastcopper stills, all while tucking into deliciously paired cocktails and snacks, such as the Gin Alexander (made with gin, cacao and nutmeg) accompanied by a mini nutmeg macaron or the El Presidente (a cocktail of rhum Agricole, vermouth and grenadine) with rolled labneh and a salted cracker.
